Team AZ Tracktime has been conducting rider
trackdays at Phoenix area racetracks for more than six years.
No one else can match our level of experience and expertise. There
is no racing at any TrackTime event. These are open track sessions
for riders who want to improve their riding skills, and test and
tune their motorcycles. Courtesy is always the word of the day.
Our Course Control Chief does not tolerate aggressive riding,
close passing, or other race-like behavior. We run on a monthly
basis to provide open track time for all riders on all types of
motorcycles. On a typical day, TrackTime provides six to eight
20 minute riding sessions, usually totaling over two hours of
on-track time for each group. Summer 1/2 days usually have four
to five sessions of riding. TrackTime strictly limits the number
of spaces in each session. We set these limits to keep the riding
groups small, so there is never any on-track congestion. At TrackTime,
everyone will have the maximum amount of clear track, which will
ensure you have the maximum amount of fun.

Riders are separated into three groups, dependent
on their anticipated lap times & riding styles. Each group
takes to the track for approximately 20 minutes out of each hour.
With this system, there is a place at TrackTime for anyone who
wants to try a day at a track. If a rider is in-appropriately
grouped, they can usually change classifications without problem.
Group divisions are made to insure that all TrackTime riding sessions
are as safe as possible. Group guidelines are based on expected
on-track riding pace, not on the style of your motorcycle. Our
key criteria is cornering speed. Keeping cornering speeds as consistent
as possible across a riding group has proven to be the best way
to insure a great day for all. Riders who need to switch groups
can usually be re-classified by speaking with one of our Course
Control staff.
Group 1:Black Group
This group is specifically for street riders. The Black Group
features guided sighting laps, pre-session track talks, and available
on-track coaching. Black Group riders have the option of choosing
not to be passed in turns. Riders who desire this option are issued
orange vests which clearly identify them to other riders and to
the TrackTime staff. Riders who are wearing an orange vest will
not be overtaken during a turn by other TrackTime participants.
Once orange-vested riders are comfortable with the track, they
can choose not to wear the vest for the remainder of the day.
The Black Group's riding pace is carefully monitored by the TrackTime
staff. Faster riders are moved to the next group.
Group 2:White Group
This group is for faster sport riders and Lightweight Class racers.
Faster paced than the Black Group, with no passing restrictions.
Highly qualified On-track Staff are available for White Group
rider coaching to improve your skill level.
Group 3:Red Group
This group is for the fastest sport riders, and racers. Red Group
has the quickest on-track pace. TrackTime usually has some local,
and pro AMA racers, as well as our own Instructors available for
Red Group rider coaching to improve your skill level.
Reservations may be re-scheduled, but are not
